Michael Conlan’s professional boxing career continued unblemished tonight in Brisbane, Australia.
The young man from Northern Ireland met Jarrett Owen on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeremy Horn, live on ESPN, and continued to impress since his turning pro in March earlier this year.
Conlan’s combinations and bodywork served him well throughout the fight, before a body shot stunned Owen in the third round. After a bit more punishment, the referee stepped in and called the contest to an end.

The victory keeps Conlan undefeated, and adds credence to his recent appeal to be featured on the undercard of the upcoming Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather mega fight — something that seems to be a no brainer considering the relationship between Conlan and McGregor.
