Mickey Gall, the vanquisher of CM Punk, has his next fight booked.
The native of New Jersey will face the short trip across the Hudson to face Randy Brown in his latest UFC assignment. Gall (4-0) hasn’t been seen in the cage since his submission victory against Sage Northcutt last December and, much like his last opponent, he faces a fellow alumnus from Dana White’s Lookin’ For A Fight show.
Newsday.com first reported the news.
Randy Brown (9-2) was signed to the UFC after impressing White on the reality TV show and has gone 3-2 in the UFC, with wins against Matt Dwyer, Erick Montano and Brian Camozzi. His two defeats came at the hands of Michael Graves and, at UFC 208 last February, opposite Belal Muhammad.
Gall has finished all four of his professional fights via rear naked choke submission while all but one of Brown’s victories have come by stoppage inside the distance.
The Gall vs. Brown fight is added to a bumper UFC 217 card which now features three title fights, after it was announced this afternoon that Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her UFC strawweight title against Rose Namajunas on the November 4th card inside Madison Square Garden.
