Yesterday, Rashad Evans called time on a fourteen year career inside mixed martial arts.
A former UFC light heavyweight champion, Evans starred in some of the most iconic feuds in the UFC, including rivalries with Jon Jones and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. His stunning knockout win in 2008 over Chuck Liddell will forever be included on UFC highlight reels.
With Evans heading into retirement, he received a number of plaudits from his fellow fighters. Check them out below:
A definite changing of the guard is upon us again, some of the names that helped build & push this sport to its current heights. Belfort, Bisping, Rashad etc. Excited for the future as new stars always emerge but can’t ever underestimate the importance & impact of these guys.
