Careful what you wish for.
Throughout fight week, Alex Hernandez said consistently he’d be giving the veteran Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone no respect as he aimed to prove himself as a solid prospect in the lightweight division. Well Cerrone, it turns out, had other plans.
Hernandez came out in the first round with gusto and aggression, only to find himself met with the wiley moves of a man who’s fought in the Octagon 40 times. Cerrone knees and elbows ended up slashing Hernandez’ face open, and in round 2 the end came after a huge head kick.
