Saturday night’s Bellator event inside Ireland’s largest indoor arena is primed to be one of the most eventful fight cards to be featured in the Irish capital in years.
Headliner James Gallagher (7-1) will take on his maiden home country main event when he faces American fighter Steven Graham (6-3) in a bantamweight main event, while a SBG’s Peter Queally faces Myles Price in a fight bubbling under as one of the most anticipated all-Irish fights in history.
Every fighter but two on the card successfully made weight at Friday’s early weigh-ins from the Spencer Hotel in Dublin, including each fighter on the four-fight main card.
Gallagher, who will undertake his second fight at bantamweight on Saturday, weighed in at 136-pounds. His opponent, Steven Graham, tipped the scales at 135.6.
‘The Showstopper’ Peter Queally registered a weight of 155.4, the exact same as his opponent Price.
Elsewhere on a card filled with Irish talent Charlie Ward, Kiefer Crosbie, Richie Smullen, Paul Redmond, Richard Kiely, Ryan Curtis, Leah McCourt and Will Fleury all successfully made their contracted weight.
Hatice Ozyurt, who faces McCourt in a featherweight bout, came in heavy at 148 as did Shaun Taylor, Fleury’s middleweight opponent, who weighed 190.4
