Darren Till’s last appearance on home soil was marred somewhat by his failure to make weight last May ahead of his hometown main event opposite Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson but judging by a picture posted to his official social channels, it doesn’t appear likely that history will repeat itself this time around.
The Liverpool native will face veteran welterweight Jorge Masvidal in the main event inside the O2 Arena in the English capital on Saturday and, judging by the photograph posted to Instagram, ‘The Gorilla’ appears to be looking lean a few days out from the Friday weigh-in.
Till’s critics will point to last year’s missed weight episode against Thompson, though it is worth noting that the Englishman hit championship weight of 170-pounds on the button for his title bout against then-champ Tyron Woodley last year.
The UFC London weigh-ins will begin at 9am (UK time) on Friday morning.
