A third chapter in the rivalry between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier will be written this coming July after McGregor indicated on Twitter Saturday afternoon that the UFC 264 rubber match between the two is on.
McGregor made the reveal on social media, writing: “The fight is booked! July 10th you’re gonna see what the Mac is about. Adjust and absolutely f*cking destroy!”

The fight will settle the three-fight series between the two standout lightweight fighters, with the score currently standing at one apiece. There is as of yet little indication as to where the fight might take place, with the UFC keeping those particular cards close to their chest.
This comes after Poirier also detailed on social media Friday that he had signed his contract for what is expected to be a highly-lucrative fight.
UFC boss Dana White will likely pursue a venue which can accept fan attendance, after recently pursuing events in both Jacksonville, Florida and Houston, Texas. The dated noted would likely coincide with the UFC’s annual ‘International Fight Week’ which — in years when there isn’t a global pandemic, anyway — dictate that the associated fight card takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
