Former UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling has a tough nut to crack when he fights the unbeaten Movsar Evloev at next month’s UFC 310.

But head of that bout with the dominant 18-0 Greco Roman wrestler Evloev, Sterling can point to his experience with some of the sport’s finest grapplers in recent bouts — and perhaps none more-so than the former Olympic gold medalist and two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo.

In May of last year, Sterling — then the UFC’s bantamweight champion — welcomed Cejudo back to the UFC ranks after an extended hiatus and, for the most part at least, shut down his wrestling with his own brand of defensive grappling en route to a split decision win.

And if he is to become the first fighter to hand an ‘L’ to surging prospect Evloev, you would guess that he will likely have to employ similar tactics in order to have his hand raised.
