Anthony Joshua has offered his first statement since the news an arbitrator ruled Deontay Wilder owed Tyson Fury a third contest.

Earlier this week, retired judge Daniel Weinstein stated that WBC heavyweight champion Fury needed to meet Wilder in the ring by September 15. When Fury’s promoter Bob Arum said he wasn’t interested in paying Wilder a substantial fee to ‘step aside’ to allow a meeting with Joshua, it essentially brought an end to boxing’s most anticipated contest.

Now, Joshua is set to find alternate opposition, most likely in WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk. That doesn’t mean he’s willing to let Fury off the hook, however.

Taking to his social media earlier today, Joshua fired some shots in Fury’s direction, labelling the ‘Gypsy King’ a fraud who used Joshua’s profile to build his own.

“Tyson Fury, the world now sees you for the fraud you are,” Joshua wrote on Twitter. “You’ve let boxing down! You lied to the fans and led them on. Used my name for clout not a fight. Bring me any championship fighter who can handle their business correctly.”

While Joshua still seeks options, Fury looks set to meet Wilder for a third time on July 24 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
