YouTuber turned professional prizefighter Jake Paul will seek his ninth professional win in the boxing ring in March.
Paul, 27, who has garnered an 8-1 record in his career to this point, will take on the 17-2 boxer Ryan Bourland on March 2 in Puerto Rico in a card to be headlined by hometown fighter Amanda Serrano who will defend her IBF, WBO, and WBA featherweight championships against Nina Meinke.
The bout represents Paul’s latest step on his boxing journey and follows his first round knockout in December of Andre August. This fight, as well as the August bout represents a departure from Paul’s previous strategy of fighting mixed martial artists and influencers. Bourland has won each of his past three fights, including a knockout win over a 4-6 professional this past summer.

“The goal is simple, build the skillset to become world champion,” Paul said, announcing the bout on social media. “Next up is a guy who has twice as many professional fights under his belt than I do. Ryan “The Rhino” Bourland. And just like the animal in his bone chilling nickname… he is also endangered.”
Paul added that his purse for the event to be aired on DAZN in the United States will be donated to the nonprofit Boxing Bullies, which seeks to build and renovate boxing gyms in Puerto Rico.
