Irishman Charlie Ward has inked a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA.
The news was confirmed to MMA Fighting by Bellator early Tuesday.
Ward, who goes by the nickname ‘Relentless’, currently holds a 1-0 record under the Bellator banner following a first round TKO victory against John Redmond in is debut at Bellator 187 in Dublin last November.
Ward (4-3) is scheduled to compete at Bellator 200 in London on May 25th against kickboxer Louis King, who currently holds a 1-1 professional record.
Ward’s contract with Bellator is the second such he has signed with a major mixed martial arts promotion following a two-fight run in the UFC which yielded a pair of defeats, though Ward was struck with illness in the weeks prior those two particular bouts.
