Conor McGregor says his recently-delayed showdown with Michael Chandler will “for sure” happen in 2024.
A foot injury sustained by McGregor in the final days of his training camp forced the postponement of his UFC 303 headline fight with former Bellator champ Chandler last month — and while no firm date has been established for the rescheduled bout, McGregor took to social media this past weekend to say that he has held talks with UFC boss Dana White and the fight will definitely happen this year.

โI talked to Dana today about our new date, all looking good,โ McGregor wrote in a social media post to Chandler on Sunday. “24 for sure.”
Unsurprisingly, Chandler, who hasn’t competed in the cage since November 2022, was more than satisfied with the update and responded with handshake and fistbump emojis.
The update from McGregor suggests that the foot injury is healing at a satisfactory rate and that he should be healthy for active competition sooner rather than later.
