Corey Anderson asked for his release, got granted it, and signed with Bellator MMA in rapid time.

It seems like it was a process that benefited all involved, and a process Anderson himself is clearly grateful for.

The now-Bellator light heavyweight took to his social media to address the move, and gave thanks to his former employers for helping make the entire procedure simple and easy.

“I thank the @ufc for the smooth process of getting a release and thank @BellatorMMA for giving me a new home,” Anderson wrote. “I came into the UFC with 3 official fights, grew/learned the game there, and now going to bellator a veteran of the game.”

While Anderson’s Bellator debut is as yet uncertain, it’s clear the president of the promotion Scott Coker has him in mind for immediate title contention.
