This month’s UFC 303 card has undergone some drastic changes.
It was confirmed overnight by UFC CEO Dana White that Conor McGregor has been removed from the card’s headline slot opposite Michael Chandler due to injury, with an entirely new headliner now installed atop the card: a light heavyweight title rematch between reigning champion Alex Pereira and former champ Jiri Prochazka.

The co-main for the UFC 303 card for the promotion’s annual International Fight Week festivities in New York has also been changed, with highly-touted featherweight Diego Lopes now taking on former world title challenger Brian Ortega. That change comes about after the initially-planned fight between Jamahal Hill and Carlos Ulberg was switched following a knee injury sustained by Hill. Ulberg now fights UFC veteran Anthony Smith in what is primed to be a stand-up war.
There will, however, be Irish representation at the event after it was previously confirmed that Ian Machado Garry will put his unbeaten professional record on the line against the former Bellator standout Michael ‘Venom’ Page.
UFC 303 takes place on June 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
