Former UFC fighter Darren Till says that there will be only one winner when he finally throws down with rising bare-knuckle sensation Mike Perry.
The two fighters have maintained a simmering rivalry since first crossing paths in Gdansk, Poland several years ago immediately after Till’s first-round finish of Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in October 2017. That rivalry soon turned into a tense accord; with the pair sparring with one another, while also maintaining friendly relationships (to a degree, at least) whenever their paths crossed.
However, since then, both men have suggested that a fight between them is inevitable — with Perry recently stating that Till had rejected a formal offer to meet him under the BKFC ruleset.
And if and when their proposed fight finally takes place, Till believes he will come out on top.
“Darren Till, you fat f*cking b*tch, get your ass over here or I’ll come to the UK,” Perry said following his victory last weekend over former UFC title challenger Thiago Alves; a win which extended his unbeaten bare-knuckle record.
Perry added afterwards: “I have a reason why I called out Darren Till. He sits over there talking unforgivable sh*t. It’s a fight that has needed to happen, all these people talk trash and don’t last long in the ring with me, period.”
Till later responded on social media, saying: “F*ckin’ bum. I am going to destroy this man when we finally meet. He’s been fighting old slow sh*tty dopes.”
Till, 31, has not competed in any professional combat sport since a December 2022 to current UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis. After compiling a 17-0-1 career record following a decision win against Stephen Thompson in his native Liverpool in May 2018, he exited the UFC in February 2023 with a record of 18-5-1.
