Well, that’s going to leave a mark.
Brazilian fighter Mayra Bueno Silva has shown off the battle scars she sustained in his TKO (cut) loss to Macy Chiasson at last weekend’s UFC 303 in Las Vegas — and it’s easy to see why the referee called off the bout on the recommendation of the cageside doctor, who reportedly told the official that Silva’s skull was visible as a result of the gash.

The cut was caused by a scything elbow from Chiasson when she found herself in top position towards the midway point of the second round and despite Silva’s protestations at the fight being called it is hard to dispute that the correct decision was made.
It remains to be seen for exactly how long Silva will be out of action while she awaits the cut to heal but as we have seen countless times in the past, scar tissue like this (particularly on or around the eyebrow) have a tendency to open up in future — see: Diaz Bros.
