Despite previously stating that his return to the UFC might come this summer, Conor McGregor has stoked speculation that he could main event April’s bumper UFC 300 event in Las Vegas.
The April 13 card, which UFC boss Dana White has promised will be one of the biggest in the promotion’s history, remains without a main event despite several high profile names from the roster — and many big stars from yesteryear — being linked to it. But McGregor, the biggest pay-per-view star in mixed martial arts history, would certainly fit the bill in what would be his first professional action in the cage since the summer of 2021.
And according to a tweet issued by the Dubliner this past weekend, it may be a realistic possibility.

“McGregor on 300 seals the deal,” he wrote.
The message was quickly responded to by Michael Chandler, his prospective opponent who coached opposite the Irishman on a season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ last year.
“I accept,” Chandler said, along with handshake emoji. “See you soon.”
Should McGregor fight on UFC 300, it would come just weeks after his feature film debut appears online, with ‘Road House’ set for release on Amazon Prime on March 21, just a few days after St. Patrick’s Day.
So far, several high profile bouts have been confirmed for UFC 300. These include a ‘BMF’ title bout between Justin Gaethje, a lightweight top contender matchup featuring Arman Tsarukyan and Charles Oliveira, among several others.
