Molly McCann will look to get back into the win column when the UFC return to the English capital in March.
Liverpool native McCann, the former Cage Warriors flyweight champion, will fight the 6-5 Brazilian Istela Nunes at the March 22, 2025 event set to take place inside The O2 Arena, according to an official release from the UFC.
The fight will take place at strawweight (115-pounds) and follows McCann’s unanimous decision defeat to Bruna Brasil in her second fight in the weight class after dropping down from 125-pounds.
McCann’s sole win at 115-pounds came in her debut in the weight class against Diana Belbiţa in February of this year. She has lost three of her past four bouts after an impressive spell in 2022 where she won two straight fights as a result of landing a spectacular spinning elbow — finishes which earned McCann post-fight performance bonuses.
Nunes, meanwhile, is 0-4 in the Octagon after making her UFC debut in late 2021.
Elsewhere on the UFC London card, Ireland’s Shauna Bannon will fight Puja Tomar in a strawweight contest, while Christian Leroy Duncan and Andrey Pulyaev will also meet. Alonzo Menifield and Oumar Sy are also scheduled to throw down in a light heavyweight matchup.
