Could we finally be set to see the long discussed Paul Daley vs. Michael ‘Venom’ Page contest?

The two Englishmen have long been eyeing each other as potentially opponents, with a long running feud that’s seen both men share their interest and subsequent disinterest in fighting one and other. Now, as Bellator MMA get ready to host a star studded welterweight tournament, the opportunity to pit both men against each other seems too good to miss.

Particularly now Daley has come to terms on a new deal with the promotion, reported first by ESPN.com.

Daley and Bellator had been at odds of late, with Daley even slamming the promotion during a fight with Jon Fitch recently. Even yesterday, when Bellator President Scott Coker announced the organisation’s latest Grand Prix, Daley was not revealed as a participant — something that drew criticism from Page.

Luckily, Daley’s management and Bellator brass have come to a deal, andthe doors are open for the Daley-Page contest to finally take place.

“Shout out to MikeKoganMMA @ScottCoker for being true professionals,” Daley’s manager Ali Adbelaziz wrote on social media. “No egos. I’m so blow away by the way they handle business. On the second hand – someone’s getting knocked the fuck out.”
