Well, there’s a headline we didn’t expect to write today.

Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira will go down as one of the most dangerous strikers in UFC history, as evidenced by the trail of contenders he has laid waste to at both middleweight and light heavyweight throughout his still-brief tenure with the world’s leading mixed martial arts league.

And now you can add a Brazilian comedian to that list. Pereira, who defended his 205-pound crown last month with a fourth-round finish of Khalil Rountree, is not expected back in the cage until sometime next year but he took on some pro bono work as part of an appearance on Brazilian YouTube recently where he dropped comedian Diogo Defante with a “50% power” body shot (at his request).

Pereira is widely expected to fight the 19-1-1 (1) Russian light heavyweight Magomed Ankalaev in his next appearance.
