On Saturday night Alex Pereira faces what many are predicting to be the greatest challenge to his reign as the UFC’s 205-pound champion.

Magomed Ankalaev, defeated just once in his mixed martial arts career, has vowed to take the light heavyweight title from ‘Poatan’ in the headliner of this weekend’s UFC 313 fight card from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, telling the audience at Thursday’s pre-fight press conference that the crowd favourite’s time at the top is about to come to an end.

“Everyone is saying ‘Chama, Chama, Chama” Ankalaev announced from the stage. “But guess what? Chama time is over. After this Saturday night, after the fight, you will all love me.

He added: “The same people that are saying Chama now are going to be saying No Chama! It’s Ankalaev time.”
