Hey, that’s one way to make a splash.
UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell took an unscheduled and unexpected dip in San Diego bay on Saturday, according to footage circulating on social media, but was safely and soundly returned to the boat moments later. It’s unclear exactly what happened, but the footage — which was obtained by TMZ — shows former UFC light heavyweight champion talking to two others towards the bow of the vessel when he appears to lose his balance and plunge into the water.

Liddell, who was not wearing a life jacket, was safely returned to the vessel soon afterwards and after another man had dived into the water to ensure the MMA icon’s safety.
No harm done to the 52-year-old, save for some wet clothes and perhaps a slightly bruised ego.
