There aren’t many fighters on the UFC roster more exciting than Brandon Moreno.
The Mexican fighter, a two-time flyweight champion, will look to re-establish his title credentials at 125-pounds at the UFC’s event in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada this weekend where he will look to hand the Iraqi standout Amir Albazi his first loss with the organisation — and just the second overall of his 18-fight career.
In terms of top-level experience, Moreno has an advantage. His flyweight run since entering the UFC in 2016 has seen him face the majority of the best fighters in the world: Deiveson Figueiredo (x4), Sergio Pettis, Alexandre Pantoja (x2), Askar Askarov, Brandon Royval (x2) and Kai Kara-France (also twice).
Albazi, though, represents a new challenge. The Iraqi fighter has been flawless in his UFC run thus far and was most recently seen in June, where he earned a split decision win over Kara-France — a fighter that Moreno finished with a body kick and punches combo a couple of summers ago.
And if you needed a refresher of exactly what Moreno is capable of, you can watch that fight in full in the video below.
