Dricus du Plessis has run roughshod through the UFC middleweight division since debuting with the organisation in October 2020.

The South African, formerly the KSW and EFC 185-pound pacesetter, defends his crown against the man he won it from a little more than a year ago — Sean Strickland — in the main event of UFC 312 in Sydney, Australia on February 9.

With a win, the South African would achieve a rare feat in the organisation: a nine-fight win streak. And some of those wins have come against the division’s best in the likes of Israel Adesanya, Darren Till, Strickland — and in the summer of 2023, against the former champion Robert Whittaker.
