Saturday’s UFC 302 main event is a go after Friday’s early weigh-ins in Newark, New Jersey.
Both men in the headliner, titleholder Islam Makhachev and challenger Dustin Poirier, successfully hit championship weight of 155-pounds when the stepped on the scales hours out from their world title clash.
Elsewhere, in the co-main event former middleweight champion Sean Strickland was on the button at 185-pounds for his fight with Paulo Costa, who hit the same mark.
Similarly, every fight on the main card also passed its first hurdle without incident — with just one fighter, Andre Lima, missing weight for a flyweight prelim bout opposite Mitch Raposo.
In something of a rarity, the majority of fighters on the card all his championship weight, with only Phil Rowe taking the extra pound allowance made available for non-title fights for a welterweight fight with Jake Matthews.
